1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Starlight Play (www.southbaystarlight.com), operated by Southbay Starlight, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are a parent or guardian using this service on behalf of a child, you agree to these terms on their behalf.

2. Description of Service

Starlight Play is a free platform providing interactive games and learning apps designed for children with autism, ADHD, and sensory processing differences, ages 3–16. All content on the platform is currently available at no cost.

3. User Accounts

Account creation is optional. Games can be played without an account. If you create an account:

  • You must be a parent or guardian to create an account for a child under 13.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You agree to provide accurate information during registration.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Starlight Play for its intended purpose: educational games and learning experiences for children. You may not:

  • Attempt to access or modify the platform's source code or infrastructure
  • Use the platform for any commercial purpose without our written consent
  • Upload or transmit harmful content, viruses, or malicious code
  • Impersonate another user or misrepresent your identity

5. Intellectual Property

All games, content, designs, and code on Starlight Play are the intellectual property of Southbay Starlight. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without explicit written permission.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

Starlight Play is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. While we design our games with therapeutic principles in mind, Starlight Play is not a substitute for professional medical, therapeutic, or educational advice. Always consult qualified professionals for your child's specific needs.

7. Limitation of Liability

Southbay Starlight shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform. Our total liability for any claim related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us (which is currently zero, as the platform is free).

8. Changes to Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the platform at any time. We may also update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States.
